Founded in 2003, we operate on a simple principle: Do with, not for.

As part of our mission, we  support the development of Centers of Distinction in providing services for individuals with autism around the world. Over our two decades of experience in supporting professionals, we have developed a process that identifies this level of excellence in financial, clinical, and operational practices.

Because our organization has supported professionals in their efforts to build Centers of Distinction in underserved areas, we have developed clear, culturally responsive criteria for these standards in autism treatment.

In 2012, we began to develop objective standards (originally titled the Site assessment Survey for Sustainable Interventions) to measure our partners’ progress toward becoming Centers of Distinction. Through several revisions over the years, we have refined these standards into the Global Autism Accreditation criteria.
