Phase 1: Full Application
  • To begin the application process, complete the Full Application and pay the $350 application fee.
  • This determines if your organization has the necessary elements to move on to the documentation audit.
  • The Full Application can be completed here.
 Phase 2: Initial Screening Call
  • You will be scheduled for a screening call with the Accreditation team to learn more about your center.
  • If it is determined that the accreditation process is not a fit for your organization at this time, you will be refunded the $350 application fee.
Phase 3: Create Account in Client Portal
  • Once the prerequisite check is complete, you will be sent a link to create an account on your client portal.
  • A signed Agreement of Services and payment installment #1 (50% of total) will be required to be given access to the Global Autism Accreditation Checklist and instructions for uploading the necessary documentation.
  • You will have an opportunity to complete the checklist and gather the necessary documentation – including caregiver consent to view records – before your first auditor appointment.
 Phase 4: Audit
  • During this process, your auditor will review your documentation to confirm your responses to the Global Autism Accreditation Checklist.
  • Your auditor may request additional documentation during this process.
  • Any checklist items that cannot be confirmed will be rescored.
Phase 5: Interviews, Video Tour, and Observations
  • Your auditor will make appointments with you and select employees for a video interview. You will have an opportunity to provide additional documentation or other information and ask questions.
  • Your auditor will schedule a 1-hour video tour and clinical observations of at least 3 randomly selected clients.
  • In the event of cancellation due to illness or closure, the appointment can be rescheduled 2 times. The video tour and client observations must be completed within 3 weeks of the first scheduled appointment.
  Phase 6: Comprehensive Report
  • Payment installment #2 is due at this phase. After the application process, you will receive a Global Autism Accreditation Report that outlines the results of your application indicating accreditation approval or not.
  • You will have an opportunity to review the results with your auditor and identify areas of strength as well as areas in need of improvement.
  • If you are not eligible for accreditation at that time, you will be given an action plan and are encouraged to work on the areas identified in this report. You may apply again in 6 months-1 year.
